The Heritage Centre aims is to preserve the history of policing in south Wales and expand public knowledge and awareness of the history of our police force by collecting, preserving, displaying and interpreting material relevant to the history of South Wales Police and its predecessor forces.

Ernest Rollings, Neath Officer known as the policeman who won the war. Richard Thomas Glamorgan officer and Welsh capped Rugby player with the grand slam cup of 1908/09. Frank Joseph May, CC during the 3 nights blitz in Swansea 1941. Equipment used from Celtic times. Mock Victorian cell and charge room.

There are also online booklets of officers that lost their lives during WWI, The concluding story booklet that sums up WWI. There are booklets on Ernest Rollings, Richard Thomas, The Welsh Guards, South Wales Police 50 years are all available.

The Heritage Centre is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday's between 10am and 2pm (bookings by appointment only) bookings are free of charge. Parking is available, but limited.

All visitors will be escorted to and from the Heritage Centre. Wheelchair and pushchair access is available. A staff member will help you gain access to the building. There are designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders in the visitor car park at the front of Police Headquarters and on site. Access considerations can be made prior to your visit. Flooring in the Heritage Centre is flat and a variety of seating is available throughout. Refreshments can be arranged at our on site cafe on request. Accessible toilets are situated on site.
