Harrogate Museums and Arts

Inside the museum is the original Tudor court room that was used in the building when it was a courthouse. The medieval castle was saved from destruction after the Civil War to hold criminals and people awaiting trial. There is a dungeon and a separate room that was used as a cell. The small building next to the courthouse building was used as a jail. Gaol
