Our crime and punishment collections are primarily photos of the local police service and court buildings; newspapers which hold crime, police and court reports; books about local crimes particularly Victorian murders in the area; corporate minute books which may refer to the local police and law enforcement. We also have a policeman’s lamp from the Victorian era and some parish overseers reports from the 18th and 19th centuries.
