Sanquhar Tolbooth Museum is housed in the 18th century tolbooth on the High Street in Sanquhar. It was built in 1731-5 to replace an earlier building. It was the administrative centre for the town, with a jail on the lower floor.

Opening Hours: April-September, Tuesday-Saturday 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm, Sunday 2pm-5pm

Historic Buildings?

Sanquhar Burgh Tolbooth. Visitors are able to look through the door of the lower part of the building where the jail was housed.
