The Judge's Lodging guidebook
We would consider the principal object we have to be the building itself - The Judge's Lodging is Radnorshire (now central Powys) Shire Hall with attached judges' lodgings for the Assizes. The building has been brought back to its heyday appearance of the 1860s (incl working gaslights) and is open as a historic attraction. Open to the public are the suite of judges' apartments, service areas, courtroom and two sets of holding cells (1826 & 1901). Former court offices on site are now community exhibition areas and work spaces for staff and volunteers. 1820s building. Grade 2* listed.
